Documents that are required Apply for Naturalisation

What Are All The Eligibility

  • Belonger Status has been in effect for at the very least 1 (1) calendar year preceding your naturalization request. In the event that your Belonger Status stems from your union with an British Overseas Territories Citizen (BOTC) (Anguilla) The one-year waiting time does not apply. OR
  • You’ve been a Permanent Residence Status a minimum of one (1) calendar year immediately prior to the date of the application. For instance, if the Permanent Resident status was awarded to you April 12, 2003 Your application will not be considered unless your status was renewed by the 12th April, 2004. It is important to note that you should not make an application for naturalization prior to the expiration date of Permanent Resident status because when that status expires before the date that your application is considered and you are required to renew it.
  • You resided in Anguilla for an amount in the 5 (5) consecutive years prior to the date you submit your application OR
  • If you’re married to an BOTC (Anguilla) you’ve been a resident of Anguilla for at least 3 (3) years immediately prior to the date of application.

The non-refundable processing charge of EC$100.00 to be paid for an application be paid to the Inland Revenue Department before application(s) are sent for processing at the Office.
