Fees for Registration and Issuance:

  • The renewal and issuing identification cards to UAE citizens and Gulf Cooperation Council nationals (for five years) 100 AED

  • It is not recommended to alter the ID Card. Do not erase, modify or alter the ID Card
  • You must carry your ID Card at all times and show it when legally required and be adhere to the legal deadlines and dates that must be followed when renewal, replacement, or the delivery of an ID Card.
  • Inform the authorities of any changes to the details of the Card within a month after the date of the modification.
  • The loss of ID card to the Emirates ID service centre within 7 days of the date of loss.
  • Request a replacement card for the lost or damaged card and pay the proper fee and submit an acknowledgment to prove that your ID was not being used or reserved by any authority or institution.
  • Contact the closest Emirates ID service center within 7 days if your ID card is damaged in any way, or totally damaged, rendering it unusable for the purpose it was intended for. In this situation the cardholder must seek a replacement for the damaged or lost cards and pay the proper fee.
  • Don’t leave your ID card with any company in the absence of a decision or judgment issued by an authorized court.
  • If you discover any ID Cards belonging to another person, give it to the closest Emirates ID service center or to the closest police station.

Note that all card holders are required to follow the above guidelines. Legal guardianship or a replacement must take on the responsibility of implementing these directions.
