Required Documents For Register a Vessel or Yacht or Ship

Documentation required for Small Commercial Vessels, less than 24 meters in length

  • Application for an Official number, call sign and registration of vessel
  • Documentation of Authorization of Agent or Officer who is executing registration documents
  • Evidence of Ownership the Bill of Sale, or Builders Certificate
  • Consent of Government of the present Registry in transfer the registry in accordance with appropriate
  • Agent in the country of registration/Home Port
  • If the vessel is new on the Registry an initial inspection must be conducted against guidelines set in the Small Commercial Vessels (SCV) Code.
  • A Marine Safety Official or the officer in charge of approving the vessels for registration
  • Minimum Safe Manning Certificate
  • All fees are due prior to the issue of certification
  • Certificate of Inspection
  • Evidence of a satisfactory liability insurance coverage that is approved by the Administration

  • Marine Safety Officer or the officer responsible for the approval of a vessel’s registration
  • If you are new to the Registry an initial survey is required in relation to Standards in Code of Safety for Caribbean Cargo Ships (CCSS Code)
  • Agent to be established in country of registration/Homeport
