Required Documents For Register a Vessel or Yacht or Ship
Documentation required for Small Commercial Vessels, less than 24 meters in length
- Application for an Official number, call sign and registration of vessel
- Documentation of Authorization of Agent or Officer who is executing registration documents
- Evidence of Ownership the Bill of Sale, or Builders Certificate
- Consent of Government of the present Registry in transfer the registry in accordance with appropriate
- Agent in the country of registration/Home Port
- If the vessel is new on the Registry an initial inspection must be conducted against guidelines set in the Small Commercial Vessels (SCV) Code.
- A Marine Safety Official or the officer in charge of approving the vessels for registration
- Minimum Safe Manning Certificate
- All fees are due prior to the issue of certification
- Certificate of Inspection
- Evidence of a satisfactory liability insurance coverage that is approved by the Administration
Required Documentation for vessels of less than 500 GT and 24 meters and longer:
- Application for an Official number, call sign, and registration of the vessel
- Documentation of Authorization of Agent or Officer who is executing registration documents
- Certificate of Ownership A Bill of Sale Builder’s Certificate
- Evidence of a satisfactory liability insurance that is approved by Maritime Administration
- Consent of Government of the present Registry in transfer the registry if appropriate
- Mortgage Recordation if it is applicable
- Minimum Safe Manning Certificate
- Marine Safety Officer or the officer responsible for the approval of a vessel’s registration
- If you are new to the Registry an initial survey is required in relation to Standards in Code of Safety for Caribbean Cargo Ships (CCSS Code)
- Agent to be established in country of registration/Homeport
The documents required for registration of a yacht Application for Call Sign, Official Number and registration of the vessel:
- Certificate of ownership Building Certificate, Bill of Sale
- Consent of the current government Registry to Transfer, if appropriate
- A Marine Safety Official or Officer in Charge of the approval of the vessel to register
- Evidence of adequate liability insurance coverage, as approved by the Administration
- The proof of authority of the agent or Officer who is executing Registration Documents
- If you’re new to the Registry an initial inspection or survey must be completed to ensure compliance with the requirements established by the Codes
- Mortgage Recordation if it is applicable
- Minimum Secure Manning Certificate if applicable
- All fees due prior to the issue of the certificate.
