- A valid copy of the biographical page of the passport of the applicant (must be readable and signed by the applicant) and be at least the two (2) month validity.
- Photocopy of biographical page from passport of parents of the applicant (must be signed and legible with a minimum of 2 (2) days validity)
- A certified copy of the marriage certificate, with English transcriptions, and Bahamian $10.00 Postage Stamp on it (if the case)
- Certified copies of the applicant’s parent(s) birth certificate(s) with English translations and Bahamian $10.00 postage stamps affixed on (if necessary)
- Original birth certificate for the applicant together with English translated translations, and Bahamian $10.00 Postage Stamps to it (if appropriate) with verification by the Consulate and the authentication of signature of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs
- Documentary proof of the parents’ immigration status
- A certified Copy from parent(s) death certificate if in either of the cases the parent(s) have passed away (must be verified through the Registrar General’s Department if issued in The Bahamas) (if applicable)

Eligibility
The following categories of applicants are eligible to applyfor:
- Anyone born within The Bahamas to non-Bahamian parents is entitled by the Constitution to apply for registration as citizens from The Bahamas (Article 7) and is currently permanent resident living in The Bahamas.
- A person who was born in a different country than The Bahamas to a Bahamian mother, who is legally married to a non-Bahamian Article 9.
- A person who was born in a different country than The Bahamas to a Bahamian father who is an official resident in The Bahamas by virtue of Article 3 or 8 and is married with a non-Bahamian wife.
