  • To apply for senior citizen certificate, applicant shall approach their local block/circle/municipal/or the respective social welfare office.
  • Get the appropriate Application form and submit it to the appropriate authorities or fill it out on a plain piece of paper.
  • Check to see if you are carrying all the required documents listed under the “Required documents” section further down.
  • Send the completed form to the authority in charge together with the necessary documents.
  • Once the application form has been completed, an enquiry officer will carry out a thorough investigation of the proof you’ve provided with the application form.
  • Rectify the acknowledgement slip once you have finished filling out the form.
  • Within 10 days or within the specified timeframe, you can use the acknowledgement slip to obtain the senior citizen’s certificate.
