How to Apply for the National Academic Scholarship In Bahamas - On the right-hand side of the page, click the “Apply” Tab.
- The site will be directed to an “Sign up” Page. Click on the button “Sign Sign Up”.
- The person applying for the account must provide the email address as well as the password in order to create an account.
- After registering an applicant will be sent an email confirmation.
- The applicant must click the confirmation link to confirm their account.
- The applicant will now be able to start making use of the system to submit an online application.
- The applicant has to fill out the application form and provide with all the required documents, as specified in the “Required Documents” section, by the 30th day of April.
- The applicant should not miss any of the details, since incomplete documents are not evaluated in The National Scholarship Committee.

Required Documents For Apply for the National Academic Scholarship
- The relevant exam certificates and test results (AA, GCE, BGCSE, SAT, etc.)
- Two letters of recommendation One from a teacher/lecturer at a high school or an employer, the other from a leader in the community.
- Copy of acceptance letters
- Up-to-date transcripts of high school the University of The Bahamas or other institutions
- A copy of the initial page of four of your passport, or a proof of your citizenship
- An original copy of your current National Insurance Card
- A short statement of not greater than 150 characters that outlines your future career goals, plans for a return visit in The Bahamas and the contribution you’d like to make following the completion of your academic studies.
- Income proof from parent or guardian (letter of employment signed by both parents/guardians and salary slip)
- Medical fitness certificate (can be presented following confirmation that you have been awarded the certificate)

Eligibility
- A candidate must be resident from the Bahamas.
- Minimum GPA that is 3.0 (or an equivalent) is required to be eligible to be eligible for this scholarship. National Academic Scholarship.
- Financial Need: An assessment of the family’s income, in addition to any additional awards, grants, or loans
- Acceptance into an accredited institution to pursue an approved program of study
- Demonstrate good leadership qualities/contribution to school and community.
Fees
There are no processing costs.
Validity
Failure to enrol, inability take on full course loads and/or bad behavior as well as any other cause that is acceptable by The National Scholarship Committee may result in the revocation of the scholarship at any time.

An applicant is informed regarding the final decision made by the National Scholarship Committee by telephone either by e-mail or postal mail.
Documentation is needed
It is mandatory to provide financial assistance to Bahamian Citizenship students at the college or high school or college level.
