- Visit any office or office of the Civil Registry and Identification.
- The officer should be asked for removal of the background checks.
- Documentation is required and the process must be followed in accordance with the official guidelines.
Documents Required Request for Criminal Record Removal
- Evidence of the dates of the events that resulted in an indictment (must be noted in the judgment’s copy or in a police report or in the court file certificate if it is included in the process or in a different original document or approved by the authority that issued the certificate)
- Certificate of Compliance issued by Gendarmerie sentence Chile or the Court or the Court, or an authorized and legally binding document containing the resolution that declares the punishment or to explain the extinguishment of criminal liability due to any reason
- Death Certificate of Death (in the case that the application was caused by dying of the person in question)

What Are All The Eligibility
Chilean nationals with a criminal record and who meets the following criteria:
- The records in the criminal records are within one of the conditions that allow the deletion of entries of judicial records.
- The sentence is favorable thanks to Decree Law No. 409 from 1932. This process, which is expected to begin at Gendarmerie of Chile and conclude with the passing of a resolution from the ministerial Regional Secretariat of Justice respectively that recognizes the value for the person.
- In the event of dying of the person in question in which the person concerned is interested enough or accompany the testamentary death certificate of the heirs.
