Being a student of Electrical Engineering (2nd yr), is it worth devoting my time to pursue my interest (programming) when I have almost no interest in electrical subjects?

A2A

Because most of the answers already cover my point, I will keep it brief and concise.

Yes. It doesn’t really matter WHEN you find your passion. Many people spend their entire lives trying to find what interests them, but they are still not able to do it. You don’t have to be late. There is still plenty of time to learn programming. Now that you have a clear vision of what you want to do, you should feel confident about yourself.

You shouldn’t worry about finding a job. If you are good at what you do you will get great opportunities on the campus. 🙂
