  1. Mineral Movement Permits can be obtained from the Ministry of Energy and mineral Development under the direction of the department of geological survey and mines.
  2. Make sure you fill out the correct application form XI, as described in the Ministry of Energy and mineral Development.
  3. Once you have completed the form, you will need to pay the fee prescribed
  4. Fill out the form, along with the pay slips to the directorate of geological Survey and Mines Chief administrative officer or the officer of the district.
  5. Take possession of Your Mineral Movement permit from where you submitted your application within 21 days of the date that the application was submitted to the Directorate or the District CAO’s office, in the event of a rejection.

Eligibility

Anyone who has a registered company with an Mineral for movement, and is in compliance with the rules are qualified.

Fees

The fees for each service vary based on the items being moved in terms of quality, quantity, as well as the required documents for example.

  1. Certificate of registration/Incorporation charges are contingent on the type of mineral.
  2. Costs of Mineral Movement permits vary; for example
    • Mineral Export Permit for Precious Stones is 10% of value, Industrial/Construction is 30,000 per ton expect Minerals Granite is 10,000 per ton and Base Metals is 5% of Export Value.
  3. Phytosanitary Certificate Fee per Consignment-Ugshs.2,000
  4. Qualitative Assurance Certificate Fee-Depends upon minerals being certified
  5. Certificate of Analysis Fee-Depends upon the nature of the analysis of the Mineral.
  6. Fumigation Certificate Fee-Depends On Mineral being treated as fumigated.

Validity

If one meets all the required documents, Mineral Movement permit has no time limit for validity.
