Apply for Goldsmith’s License In Uganda By Yourself

  1. An application to apply for a Goldsmith’s License should be made to the Commissioner using the prescribed form.
    • The Act provides that no person can make an item out of any precious mineral, or any other substance that contains any precious mineral, unless the person is able to obtain an Goldsmith’s License.

  • An official copy of the company Registration certificate, or Certificate of Incorporation
  • Letter of appointment from the candidate (consultant)
  • Prospecting report that has been approved in the Department of Geological Surveys or the prospecting waiver.
  • Surveyed coordinates, sketch plan and area that is being used to calculate.
  • Certificate of archaeological clearance from Department of National Museum, Monuments and Art Gallery.
  • Removal from Department of Wildlife and National Parks in the event that the area is part of the national park
