Application In Person
- For an application to apply for Calibration of External Micrometers, you need to submit your request for the Bureau of Standards Jamaica (BSJ). You can find the BSJ contact information by clicking the following link The BSJ Contact.
- Request the form to apply for calibration at one of BSJ offices located in Kingstone, Montego Bay, Mandeville, Ocho Rios, or Savanah-La-Ma. You may get the application form by either email or by phone.
- Complete the application form in the manner required.
- Create the External Micrometer to be calibrated. Complete all the documentation required, and go to at the BSJ office.
- Pay the application fee at the cashier, and collect the receipt of payment.
- Completely submit the application form as well as your External Micrometer in person in the hands of the BSJ official at the desk of service and take the acknowledgement receipt for the application.
- The external Micrometer will be sent into the BSJ metrology lab to ensure proper analysis and calibration in accordance with the BSJ standards.
- The BSJ inspectors in the laboratory will make sure that their External Micrometer to the right readings.
- Stop by the BSJ office to collect the External Micrometer.
