  • The applicant should go to Thasildhar office and fill out an application in-person.

  • This task must finish within the time of one month starting from the date of the order that was passed by the responsible authority.
  • At the time of delineation of the plot, the spot memo will be made by the Revenue Inspector or another concerned officer, and it will have the signatures of all parties involved and signed at the direction of the chairman of the Land Management Committee or any two witnesses who are independent on the day of delineation.
  • If any of the parties does not sign the memo on the spot, the endorsement in the manner described will be signed through the R.I and the subsequent procedure will be carried out according to the particular case.

In the case of the Revenue Inspector and any other revenue officer is required to file their report delineating the demarcation along with the spot memo in a time of 15 days following the date of the demarcation.

Instructions

The provisions of this Act do not apply to the following categories of land:

  • It is a land subject to GMC/M.B./T.C.
  • Land that is owned by the Government entities such as the State Govt./Central Govt./Govt. Agencies/Corporations so long as the land is used for official purpose and not used or transferred for commercial purpose.
  • Land that is owned by the Local Authority and not used/transferred for commercial use.
  • Tea-growing land.
  • The land is used for charitable or religious purposes.
  • The land is used for aquaculture and animal husbandry including poultry/duckery.
  • Land that is being used to build a dwelling houses to the extent one Bigha.
  • Land in the Industrial Zone.
  • Land that is used for any other purposes as are notified by government at any time.
