  • For those who want to engage in business with a measure and weight dealership, then you need to obtain the dealer license through the relevant state metrology department.
  1. The applicant should go to the at the address of the Local Legal Metrology Officer (Assistant Controller of Legal Metrology / controller of Legal Metrology/Inspectorate Offices) under the control of which the proposed unit is situated.
  2. Visit the office.
  3. Get the application form, or complete the application on an A4 sheet according to the instructions.

  • If the company is not a sole proprietorship concern, the company should be able to provide an original duplicate of Partnership deed that has been certified by a First Class Magistrate/Notary or Oath Commissioner, and in the the case of private Company or Limited Company, Memorandum of Association that is approved from the Ministry of Company Affairs, Govt. of India.
  • Premises Documents of ownership/registered rent or leave license or lease agreement with a NOC from the owner/NOC of the member , if the property is owned by a the family member.
  • Equipment, tools and machinery list
  • PAN card
  • Self-declaration of whether the applicant has violated any requirements of Legal Metrology Act, 2009 or the rules thereunder.
  • Current electricity bill.
  • Aadhaar Card of Directors

Note:

    • Self-certified copies of the relevant documents must be included.
    • In addition to the previously mentioned documents, authorities can require additional information or documents. You must provide them with the information needed for efficient processing.
