Apply for East Africa Passport In Uganda By Yourself

  1. The applicant should get Passport application form G and other details from the closest Immigration Office or by downloading it from the Immigration website: immgration or application forms.
  2. Take the time to read through the instructions carefully and then fill it out accurately with clearly written handwriting. Sign it
  3. The applicant must then pay to submit the application via on the Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) website portal (check below for more details)
  4. When you print the acknowledgement receipt for payment, you must go to the bank that you selected in your URA payment application to make the payment required on which you will receive a receipt from the bank to serve to prove the payment
  5. Place your documents in a manila folder and then present them IN PERSON to the officers who will receive them who are located at the Passport Receiving Section at the Ministry of Internal Affairs or the nearest Passport Control Office or the Regional Immigration Office.
  6. The official in charge will examine your documents and take your biometric data, and you will be given an acknowledgement slip that identifies your receipt code as well as your the file number
  7. You can collect your passport in person after ten working day (normal applicants for passports) and the two (2) work days (for Express Passport Applications) from the time you made the application unless you are advised otherwise by the Immigration Official. You must show your receipt slip and your ID when you collect your passport from the Passport Delivery Office.

    2. Another NTR Head: Choose the NTR Head you applied for. Be aware that the amount will be filled itself by default.
    3. BPAF Number File numbers begin with the letter IM/Number/Year. (Do do not create any spaces or gap when filling in the number of file).
    4. Payment Method: Under Bank Details Select the payment method, e.g. cash, cheque, etc.
    5. Manual Bank Payment Mode
    6. “URA’S” Bank’s Name Choose URA’s preferred Bank of Your Choice. (E.G UBA, DTB, Orient, Etc.)
    7. Enter the Text Image In The Way You Imagine It.
    8. Choose Accept to sign in.

Alert: Avoid Middlemen or Kayungirizi. Applications made by Middlemen are not considered to be valid or accepted from the office for passports or immigration.

Instructions

  • How to fill out the form
  1. All applicants must present an identification card from the country at the time of interview.
  2. Parents are required to sign the consent form while applying for passports for their children.
  3. First time applicants have to complete all sections with the exception of section 7 on this form.
  4. The person who is recommended in section 8 must be a citizen of Uganda with some sort of standing.
  5. Photograph
    1. Three duplicates (3) of passport-sized photographs of the applicant should be submitted with the application.
    2. The photos should be taken face-to-face with no hat, veil and cannot be displayed with eyes and ears clearly visible.
  6.   • This East Africa passport enables East Africa Community citizens to to travel and live within the East Africa boards freely without having to apply for the visa (expect in Sudan) for the duration of six months. The passport can be extended if the period has expires.
