Application to the Government’s student loan Scheme
The completed application form along with photocopies or copies of the supporting documents (e.g. copies of income proofs, bank accounts that show every transaction in the previous financial year and more.) must be submitted within the timeframe set by your bank, which sends your request along with documents supporting it to the Office to be processed.

What are all the Eligibility
- Are a full-time registered student who is 30 years old or less (i.e. born on or after September 1, 1984);
- Participate in full-time locally accredited self-financing postsecondary education programs at the sub-degree (i.e. an associate diploma or higher) as well as degree.
- Do not have accepted financial aid under any other publicly funded student financial assistance scheme [e.g. for example, Continuing Education Fund (CEF)to attend the program or course included in the application during that same year of academics and
Are able to reside to reside in The Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (Hong Kong) or or resided at Hong Kong continuously for three consecutive years prior to the beginning of your course. This does not include students living within Hong Kong holding student visas.

The Document is required
ALL applications to Government financial assistance programs are reviewed with the Student Finance Office (SFO) under the Working Family and Student Financial Assistance Agency (WFSFAA), HKSAR Government, and all the financial assistance is funded by the public fund.
Information that can be useful
The eligibility of a student to a particular financial assistance schemes is subject to consideration by the SFO. The programs generally can be used by local students (students living within Hong Kong holding student visas are not qualified) with different study options.
