 Apply for Import License for Wood In Ivory Coast By Yourself

  • The Prior Import Authorization (API) Permits are documents which grants importers permission to import any product into Ivory Coast legally.
  • It is important to note that the API Permit will be issued by the appropriate ministry in charge, Importers are required to sign up with the GUCE first before filling with an Import Declaration Form (FDI) that is required when the value of the product is greater than five hundreds of thousands (500,000) FCFA and for getting approval for the API permit.

Register using the GUCE

  • Log in into your account on the GUCE CI web site Link If you already have an account.   • Please fill out the form and then have it completed by the representative legal of the firm.
  • Scan and submit this request form along with the supporting documents below, electronically to accounts@guce.gouv.ci or physically deposit it with Webb Fontaine CI Customer Service.
    • A replica of the identity document.
    • A photocopy of the identity card of the person who has requested the access GUCE.
    • An image of the Import Code Sheet.
  • For deposits made with physical currency who submits the request must present his/her identity proof.
  • When you make your request, GUCE will review your request and then send your Username as well as Password via the email address you registered to, access your account and login to your portal.

Create the prior import authorization (API) Authorization for Wood

  • After logging in to the GUCE site, fill out the form for Import Declaration Request (FDI) and then submit it.
  • The system will create an application to obtain Prior Import Authorization (API) that will be forwarded by an office in the Ministry of Water and Forests office.
  • Print the proforma invoice, along with a request an the Prior Import Authorization (API) along with an authority to exercise the role of an importer of timber (if available) on the website
  • Visit the Ministry of Water and Forests, Directorate General of Water and Forests office and send the following documents and details to the desk for licensing.

Imports by sea
To import any goods by sea The exporter, forwarder overseas and the importer have to be registered with the BSC through the website that is operated by the Office Ivoirien des Chargeurs (OIC) .
Documentation required for registration

  • The Final Invoice or the valuable inventory of personal possessions.
