A International Driver’s License allows the owner to operate an automobile for personal use in a different country than the one that issued the license. The document must be supported by a valid driver’s license issued by the country where the holder is from for it to become valid.

An IDL is typically slightly bigger than a normal passport and it is available in different languages of the owner’s standard driver’s license.
