Apply for OAS Scholarships for Academic Studies (Undergraduate, Masters, Doctorates) In Jamaica By Yourself

  1. To be eligible to the Organization of American States (OAS) Scholarships for Academic Studies, you must complete your application online by completing an OAS on-line application. Go to OAS’s website: Link. OAS site: Link and place your cursor towards the “Topics” drop-down menu on the information bar. Then, choose “Scholarships” in”S” in the “S” section to be taken to the scholarship page
  2. On the next page, click”OAS Scholarships” on the page. Click “OAS Scholarships” link and you will be taken to the OAS scholarship page.
  3. Check out the details on OAS Academic Scholarship Program as you scroll down to “OPEN Announcements”
  4. Below you can find an extensive list of the various scholarships provided from the OAS. Choose one of the OAS Academic Scholarship Program you want to apply for, then click the hyperlink “OAS Academic Scholarship Program” to navigate to that particular scholarship page.
  5. In this section, go through the information about the scholarship and then prepare the necessary documents in accordance with the instructions in the “REQUIRED DOCUMENTS” section.
  6. Click on the online form link located under “REQUIRED Documents” to open the instruction section of the online application form.
  7. Review the information given and then click the “Continue” button. You will then be taken to the online application form.
  8. Fill out the form in the correct way and upload the necessary documents, and then submit your application.
  9. When you have submitted the online application, you’ll be notified by the OAS with an image of the form you completed in the format of PDF.
  10. Print the form, and attach all necessary documents to it. Submit the form in the direction of the National Liaison Office (ONE) via the contact details that are listed in the “Office Contacts and Locations” section.
  11. The application will be processed according to the OAS procedures and standards as well as the names of applicants who have been successful will be delivered by the National Liaison Office (ONE)
  12. If you are one of the applicants who are selected who will be granted this Scholarships for Academic Studies funds you will be approached via the National Liaison Office (ONE) using your contact information to notify you of the decision.
  13. One ONE will then send you all relevant documents regarding the awarding of your scholarship. The documents include the scholarship contract.

Required Documents For Apply for OAS Scholarships for Academic Studies

  • A copy of the diploma that indicates the highest level of education achieved. (Bachelor or Masters)
  • Transcripts with the grades of the most prestigious academic degree earned or due scheduled to complete (Bachelor’s Master’s, Bachelor’s, or Ph.D.). If you’re currently studying in a course of study, you must submit the most recent transcript.
  • Two letters of recommendation (Preferably from former or current professors)
  • A copy of the official Identity card (Government-issued Identity Card or Passport)
  • Curriculum Vitae. (must not go over two pages).
  • Letter of admission to the program of study
  • If you are unemployed or have never been employed, be sure to include a reference letter from your professor or other person who could be considered to be a source of reference for your skills as a college professional or student
