Apply For Obtain Copy of Marriage Certificate in Denmark
If you’re located in Denmark you should go to the city hall of the city where you were married, and ask to see the record office. You have to be registered or obtained the license there, and you should have the certificate.
If you’re in another country If you are in another country, you can request this fro
m the parish of the parish where your marriage was recorded.
Call the appropriate municipality (kommune) and request contact information for the office of the local church. Phone numbers and addresses can be found at www.borger.dk (Danish exclusive).
You can also search for contact details for the parish you are interested in on www.sogn.dk (Danish solely). The person in charge of supplying copies of marriage certificates will be the Parish Registrar (kirkebogsfrer). Due to Danish rules, the new certificate is not able to be sent directly to you. Instead, it must be sent by the Embassy. The certificate can be then collected at the Embassy’s Passport Office at the following dates:
