Apply For Renewal of Pesticides Registration in Egypt
These are the procedures to renew Pesticides Registering in Egypt
1. The stakeholder must submit an application to renew the registration certificate following the time that the pesticide has passed the latest effectiveness testing (reevaluation) (article 11 in the Ministry’s Decree No. 622 from 2008) and is able to prove that it conforms to the technical standards upon the criteria for which it was registered in terms of physical and chemical properties, the proportion of impurities, and the evaluation of the pre-harvest Interval.
2. The recommendation is made on the basis of the experiment results. Also, the results should be authorized by the competent institution/laboratory (article 6) and submitted to the Committee. The recommendation is then signed by the Experimentation Officer appointed to the Committee from the relevant Institution and endorsed through the Committee Secretary.
3. The documents required for renewal Certificate of Registration include:
- a. The Original Certificate of Registration Certificate is due to expire.
- b. The original certificate of analysis given from the Pesticides Central Laboratory.
- C. The first recommended document for the pesticide.
- d. The study on localization of the pre-harvest Interval released from the Pesticides Central Laboratory.
4. The renewal requests are made for approval by committee Technical Secretariat who suggests approval/denial.
5. It is issued in accordance with the format (5) which is attached to Ministryal Decree No. 622 from 2008. This is signed by Committee Chairperson or Vice Chairman who has ensured that active ingredients are listed in the Annex (1) which is attached to Ministerial Decree No. 730 of 2007.
6.The Certificate of Registration Certificate comes in 3 copies: one issued to the person applying and one is kept at the Committee Secretariat and the third given for the Pesticide Central Laboratory (article 6 of the Ministerial Decree No. 662 from 2008).
7.The current registration certificate will expire at the end of six years after the date of issue in accordance with article 11 of Ministerial Decree No. 622 of 2008.

The required documents for the renewal Certificate of Registration include:
- a. The Original registration Certificate must be renewed.
- b. The original certificate of analysis was issued from the Pesticides Central Laboratory.
- C. The initial report document that recommended the pesticide.
- d. The study conducted locally of the pre-harvest Interval published through the Pesticides Central Laboratory.

What are all the Eligibility
All the agencies that are involved in pesticides and insecticides in Egypt are qualified.
Validity
The registration certificate is valid within six years from the date of its issue as per article 11 of Ministerial Decree No. 622 of 2008.
Processing Time
Processing time is 30 working days.
Instructions
-
- Any applicant who isn’t living in Egyptis able to nominate a an agent in the local area.
- A complete application will be rejected.
- The label should state what kind of pesticide it is, or the kind of pests it can control.
- The ingredient declaration must contain both active ingredients as well as the inert ones in the product.
- Indicate the toxicity of the product from one dose.
- Each label on pesticides should include an indication of know how to keep and remove the product
