How to Become a Youth Ambassador In Bahamas - The applicant should fill in the form and submit it together with the necessary documents to the Ministry. Ministry.
- The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture will call applicants to confirm the receipt of their application.
- The Department will choose a short-list candidates from the group.
- All applicants short-listed will be assessed at the discretion of members of the Youth Advisory Council.
- The chosen youth ambassadors will be vetted by the Minister.
- After the final decision has been taken after the final decision is made, the Department of Youth will communicate the outcome that were gathered during the process to the candidate.

- Evidence of citizenship (first page of four on the passport).

There aren’t any fees associated with it.
Validity
The chosen youth will fulfill the role of an ambassador for youth for two years.
Processing Time
Applications are processed in between one and two months.
Instructions
- Every CARICOM member state has the right for a nomination of two (1) male as well as one (1) female to serve as the country’s CARICOM Youth Ambassadors, for a period of 2 (2) year.
- They are individuals aged 18-25 years old.
- These individuals play an advocacy and peer education function and are generally monitors for community-based decisions that affect youngsters.
- For their role as CARICOM Youth Ambassadors these youngsters are required to travel both nationally and internationally to debate issues that affect young people.

The Bahamas has two (2) Youth Ambassadorship programs which facilitate participation of Bahamian youth. These are:
- The Commonwealth Youth Ambassadors Programme. (CYAP)
- CARICOM Youth Ambassadors.
The Commonwealth Youth Ambassadors Programme (CYAP):
CYAP is an initiative launched in 1993 by the Heads Of Government of the Commonwealth which aims to build a group of energetic young Caribbean leaders who can educate their fellow Caribbean leaders about the importance of regional integration.
CARICOM Youth Ambassadors
Every CARICOM member state has the right for a nomination of two (1) male as well as one (1) female to serve as the country’s CARICOM Youth Ambassadors . The Ambassadors serve for a period of 2. (2) two (2) years. The Ambassadors are teenagers aged between 18 and 25. They perform an advocacy and education roles and are generally regarded as watchdogs of community-based decisions that affect young people. In their capacity as CARICOM Youth Ambassadors the young people must travel across the country as well as internationally to debate issues that affect young people.
