  2. Residents are allowed to export as much as UGX 20 million (Uganda Shilling-UGX) to cover the cost of return to Uganda. No restrictions are imposed on foreign currencies.

  4. For amounts equal up to USD 55,000 or more , residents and non-residents must have documents that identify the source and the reason of the amount.
  5. If you’re holding this amount , it is recommended to go to the customs office at the point of entry to declare the amount you hold.
  6. You will receive the Form F88 the Passenger Declaration Form, which you must fill out and return.
  7. Additionally, you will be required to provide documents that state the source and nature of the amount, as well as your passport that is valid.
  8. When the customs department has checked your documents, you’ll be issued with an exit card.
