How To Exchange Your Foreign Driver License In Czech Republic

1.) Completed an application at one of the offices in Driver Registry of the municipal authority of municipalities having delegated power, or at the municipal halls of the city.

2.) The application form cannot be copied and electronic methods for submission are not acceptable. The original form of application must always be used. The application form cannot be folded, wrinkled or damaged to any extent. Application forms damaged by damage are discarded.

3.) The application form should be completed by hand, to the department of the municipality in an area with delegated power or in the town halls of any city located in the Czech Republic.

4.) The applicant must submit an application form that is filled out correctly to obtain an Driver’s License, along with the Driver’s License issued by a foreign state or an European Communities Driver’s License, an ID document, and a colored or black and white ID document type photo that is 35×45 millimeters.

5.) If the applicant does not follow the rules and regulations and is not able to comply, the applicant could be penalized under Act no. 200/1990 Coll. which is the Offence Act, as amended.

What Are All The Eligibility

The applicant must be an individual who has an Driver’s License issued by a foreign country or an European Communities Driver’s License, and is granted a long-term or permanent permit to reside within the Czech Republic, or a person with an Driver’s License issued by a foreign state, or a European Communities Driver License, who is a permanent resident of the Czech Republic and lives in the country for more than 185 days of one calendar year.

Fees

The mandatory exchange of the Driver’s License issued by a foreign state in accordance with Section. (116) (1) (1) and (2) in Act No. 361/2000 Coll. It which isn’t subject to an administration charge.

Application of Driver’s License are processed by the appropriate office (based on the location of the applicant’s permanent residence) from the Driver Registry of the municipal officials of municipalities that have delegated power, or by the municipal halls of any town in the Czech Republic.
