Eligibility

Anyone who holds a European Union driving license, or a Swiss or Australian licence issued by an Swiss or Australian Territory or State Territory licensing authority who has a regular residence in Malta is entitled to have his or her driving license replaced with a Maltese license. You must have resided on the island of Malta in Malta for at minimum 185 days within the past year, or the exchange of the license can’t be made.
