Obtain Personalised Licensed Plates In Bermuda By Online
- The applications for personalized license plates are handled through the Transport Control Department.
- Fill out an application to be licensed plates.
- Complete the form and submit it together with the current license for their vehicle or a photocopy of the document.

- Cycle Inspections can only be conducted only at North Street Testing. North Street Testing location
- From April 6th, 2009 the safety of motor vehicles as well as emissions tests will be conducted through the Bermuda Emissions Control Ltd. (BECL)
Eligibility
Personalised plates are reserved for private vehicles only.
Personalised plates can contain the maximum of six characters. Spaces count as an individual character. Dashes and other types of symbols aren’t allowed.
All requests must comply with these rules:
- Only letters (a at least two letters).).
- Combination of alphabets and number(s) which is not greater than 6 characters
The Personalised Plates will start by mentioning LP, IN, HA, H, HC, CS, FHL, SP, XT, LXT, CLC, CM, LD, SPCM, M, TT, LT, IT, HT, BT, FT, AT T GP, PWAB, BPBA TR, CLC and can be easily identified with numbers.

- Personalised Plates Initial Fee : $44.00
- Personalised Plate Annual Fee : $84.00
Important: TCD accepts cash, Master Card and Visa. There is no ATM at any of the TCD locations.
Validity
There is an annual cost that is due for vehicles that have personalised license plates.

Requests for personalized license plates are handled in the Transport Control Department.
Guidelines to follow before submitting your request for plates that are personalized:
- Personalised plates should not contain any sexually explicit or offensive meaning.
- Personalised plates should not be morallyor ethically racistally, or be in or in any other way that is offending to good taste.
- Personalised plates should not bear the same or similar characters to any other plate personalised previously released by the T.C.D.
The Ministry of Tourism and Transport reserves the right to recall personalized plates when they are deemed to be unsuitable.
