Obtain Suitability Certificate to Operate a Pharmacy In Uganda By Online
- Any applicant for new pharmacies wholesale and retail should be able to obtain a certificate of suitability of the location to run the retail and wholesale pharmacy from the Municipal Council Authority near your location.
- Make sure you fill out the proper application form according to the instructions of the Municipal council.
- After filling out the form, then pay the prescribed fee.
- Get your certificate of suitability to run a pharmacy from the municipality where you submitted your application within one day of the date your application was received by the municipal level in the event of no rejection.
Required Documents For Obtain Suitability Certificate to Operate a Pharmacy
- Completely filled out application form to obtain a certificate of the appropriateness of premises.
- The application form must be filled in completely to obtain the Licence.
- Documentation of the payment of fees prescribed by law.
- Memorandum and Articles of Association in the case of an entity *corporate or partnership deeds in the case of partnership.
- The evidence suggests that one directors in the company is pharmacist.
- A sketch plan of the building with consideration of the floor area that is required to be used for retail, wholesale and storage space.
- A certified copy of the certificate of registration issued by the supervisory pharmacist.
- Commitment letters from the supervisory pharmacist and professional staff.
- Certificate copy of a valid certificate of registration/enrollment with the relevant professional body for the professional auxiliary.
- For retail/wholesale pharmacies (veterinary) an original an official certificate from the veterinary profession.

- Any person of 18 years carrying out a pharmacy business in Municipality/Division/Town/City/Kampala City Council Authority’s jurisdiction.
- Other than those exempted by Section 8(2) of the Trade Licensing Act are eligible to apply for a suitability certificate in order to run pharmacies.
