It is illegal to operate an animal shop or conduct a trade of pet animals without a registration certificate from the relevant State Animal Welfare Board – “Animal Husbandry Unit” is the board that is concerned.

  • The applicant should go to their local Veterinary Wing of respective municipality or the animal welfare organization responsible for their area to apply for registration of a pet shop.
  • Visit the office of your choice.
  • Visit the authority in question on the premises of the authority. Applicant must get instructions from the authority to be followed to apply.
  • Take the appropriate application form or write it on A4 plain paper according to the advice.
