Register Agricultural Chemical Premises In Uganda By Yourself

  1. Registration for registration of Agriculture Chemical Premises is done in person at the Agricultural Chemicals Board Head Offices located at the Ministry Of Agriculture Animal industry and fisheries, or their field offices located in the counties.
  2. You will be provided With an application form F for registration for the registration of Agricultural Chemical premises to fill and submit.

  5. Add the necessary documents to the application form prior to. This includes:
    • Completely filled out application form F
    • Copies of Certificates of Incorporation Registration Certificate
    • Copy of duly executed Articles and Memorandum of Association
    • Copy of ID or passports of Company Directors
    • Copies of valid County Government Single Business Permit
    • Copy of the URA PIN Certificate for the business
    • Copy of the current URA’s Tax Compliance Certificate
    • Copy of NEMA’s valid Environmental Impact Assessment or Environmental Audit Certificate in the event of a need.
    • The Public Health’s Food Drugs and Chemical Substances License in the event that it is applicable
  6. Fill out the application and pay the necessary fees of Ugshs. 3000 and provide the receipt as evidence of payment.
  7. Then follows an inspection of the applicants’ agricultural chemical establishments by Agricultural Chemicals Board Officers
  8. The recommendations based on the findings from the inquiry will then be presented for the Agricultural Chemicals Board Headquarters for final approval Board approval.
  9. The applicant will be informed if they have been registered successfully or what rectifications need to be made in order for them in order to register as chemical agricultural premises.
  10. If the approval is granted, the agricultural chemical premises registration applicant is informed and must pay the cost of registration of Ugshs. 500 000 towards the Agricultural Chemical Board and submit the receipt as evidence of payment.
  11. After the certification process has been completed, after which the Agriculture Chemical Premises Registration Certificate is given to the person who applied for it.

Eligibility

Anyone, group of farmers or business that plans to operate a Chemical distribution or warehouses must be registered in the Agriculture Chemical Board.

Documentation is needed

  • A certificate of registration for premises in the field of chemical agriculture permits the holder to conduct the business of making and storage of Agriculture Chemical in Uganda.
  • Nobody can manufacture or store Agricultural chemical unless the holder of an current Agricultural chemical registration certificate for premises issued through the Agricultural Chemical Board after consultation with the Ministry of Agriculture Animal Industry and Fisheries.
