Register for Scrap Metal Itinerant Dealer In Jamaica By Yourself
- You must apply to the Trade Board Limited (TBL) in order to register as a scrap-metal itinerant dealer. You can view the TBL Contacts information through this TBL Links link .
- You can either get the registration form at the TBL office, or you can download it through this -Registration form link and complete it correctly.

- Attach the necessary supporting documents to the application form as described in the “Required Documents” section.
- Pay the application fees at cashier in the TBL office to receive the receipt.
- Send the completed application, along with a copy the payment receipt, to the TBL official at your service unit.
- TBL officials will review the application and verify that it is correct.
- After verification, the TBL will schedule an inspection to visit your operation for assessment.
- The facility will be inspected by TBL inspectors who will then submit their inspection report to TBL.
- Your application and inspection report will be reviewed by the board. If your application meets the requirements, registration will be granted.
- The approval will be communicated to you via your contact information and an itinerant dealer license issued to you.

Companies and individuals who want to become Scrap Metal Itinerant dealers are eligible to apply.
Fees
- Register fees include General Consumption Tax of $1265
- Registration fees excluding General Consumption Tax: $1100.
Validity
The license is valid one year.

Instructions
If you are convicted of an offense under the Trade Act, or the Trade (Scrap Metal) Regulations within the five years immediately preceding this application, or if your conviction is for fraud or dishonesty within the FIVE years immediately prior to this application, then you will not be eligible to apply.
