What is the process to apply:

  • Contact the ministry of interior office or the related offices to make this application.
  • Make a request letter in handwriting adresated to the Minister for the Interior and then submit it with all required documents (listed under the “Required documents” section) to be verified and processed by the Directorate General of Elections and Public Liberties office.
  • If the register finds that all documentation is in good order,, you will be informed of the result and presented with the certificate of registration of your association.

Documents that are required Registration of an Association

  • Three (3) copies of the statutes
  • Three (3) copies of the internal regulations
  • Three (3) copies of the minutes of the assembly’s constituent which have been signed by every participant
  • A receipt for 10,000 francs was issued in the Official Journal
  • Three (3) copies of the membership list of the Board of Directors with the full address of each board member which is:
  • Names and first names, date and birthplace Professional, position that is held by the office of the association, Nationality, Domicile, Full address (PO Phone, E-mail, etc.)

  • Name of the association to be proposed
  • The association’s goals and purposes such as the emblem, name, and motto
  • Addresses of all officials.
  • Proposed physical address of the Society. Road, plot number, and town.
  • Identification documents, and Passport photograph of the official.
  • The nationality of officials
  • Contact information of the official members

Need to have the Document

  • An association is a non-profit entity with members, whose goal is to support issues of an idealistic, political or some other type.

Societies, associations and clubs are recognized under the association Act. Law No. 35/62 of the 10th of December 1962, in Gabon by the Director of the Directorate General of Elections and Public Liberties.
