What’s stopping the Chinese from copying Tesla electric cars and selling them on the cheap?

The price of batteries, that’s the primary reason electric cars aren’t less expensive than gas-powered cars.

Have you ever thought about the latest batch of batteries produced for Tesla before they began production in their own factory were manufactured in the hands of Samsung from Korea? This isn’t to say that Korea is any different from China however the fact is that what’s reducing the price of batteries isn’t labor but robots. And, more importantly, the equipment that creates the tiny, individual cells

Many of them will be used to make the Tesla batteries. Tesla’s gigafactory is now producing more batteries per year than the world produced in 2013.

That’s it… the only thing a competitor needs to do is construct an enterprise and not just a cheap copy from the outside of Model S. Model S. That should be an easy task!
