Instructions
The application for registration of a death may be made at any time by one or more of the parties listed below.
- A family member of the deceased that lives in Norway in the country where the death took place.
- If there isn’t a relatives, any other person attended the time of death.
- The doctor who is in control of the institution or institute in which the death took place.
- The principal person who lived in the house at the time the death took place.
- The closest family member of the deceased who was present during the time of the death or who was in attendance during the final death of the person who died.
- If there aren’t those individuals, they are the ones who decide for disposing of the body of the deceased through cremation, burial, or other methods
