How To Apply for a new passport In Cambodia
- Make sure you have all the necessary documents to apply for a passport renewal. In the necessary documents in the following document
- Visit a passport counter to provide your passport documents and fill out a passport application form which is available in the passport counter.
- You may need the help of an agent to guide you with the procedure.
- Find a passport processing agent and complete the application form. Present all the necessary documents
- After confirming the documents, your passport’s official photograph will be taken in the office, along with your finger and thumb prints also.
- You will receive receipts that specify the date when the new passport will become made available.
Note:
In 2014 the Cambodian government announced the introduction of a new biometric passport. It is valid for a period of 10 years. If you are applying to get the Cambodian passport, you must keep track of the processing time as their fees vary , as is shown in the fees section below.

The cost of a passport is determined by the authenticity of the passport as well as processing time
- For a valid 10 years passport, the fees are:
- 30 days for $100
- 7 days, $150
- One day $200
- Valid for 5 years passport (only granted to children 5 years and older) the following fees apply:
- 15 days $80
- 7 days $120
- One day $160.
Validity
It is a Cambodian passport can be used for 10 years or 5 years in the case of kids who are 5 years old and younger.
