1.The employer should begin by determining what information is needed to get the permit.

What Are All The Eligibility

1.The applicant to obtain a work permit to work Cambodia must be a foreign national of 18 (18) years old or older who is invited to accept employment at a registered or recognised company within the country. 2.Temporary work permits are issued to:

  • Highly skilled workers;
  • Specialists in management and staff;
  • Technical personnel as well as
  • Other laborers or service providers.

Permanent work permits is issued to:

  • Foreign nationals who have been recognized by the Minister of Interior and

Foreign Investments and spouses and dependents acknowledged as such by the Council for the Development of Cambodia.

Validity

  • The validity of a temporary work permit is not extend beyond the normal validity of visas. 1 (1) year

14.Applicants who want to obtain permanent work visas have to deposit a certain amount of cash (as as defined within the Anukret) at the bank of their choice in Cambodia.

15.Validity of temporary visas cannot be greater than the validity of the visa;

16.Ensure that the renewal application is completed at least three (3) months prior to when the expiration date for the work permit. Applications for renewals and replacements (if lost) are made available to the ministry via the police station located in the city or province of applicant’s residence.

17.Ensure that the fees are paid in accordance with the law according to the rules;

18.In the event of a change in address, be sure to apply for an additional work permit within 48-hours of arriving at your new location.
