- Go to the appropriate authority personally.
- Complete the application form by providing all the information needed.
- Make sure you submit the required documents. They must be submitted by the guardian or parent.
- Pay the fee as prescribed.
Required Documents For Apply for Citizenship
Documents of the Registrant
- Original and duplicate from the Identity card
- Original and a copy of the Birth Certificate Latest copy of the Birth Certificate or Adoption Certificate (translated into Malay or English by the consular office of the court or the public translator)
- Original and a copy of the entry permit, passport or another travel documents
- Three recent passport-sized photos with blue background
- Original and a copy of the Documentary proof of education
Documents of the Applicant or Guardian
- Original and duplicate from the Identity card
Documents of siblings and parents
- The original and copy of Birth Certificate or the most recent copy of Birth Certificate
- Original and duplicate from the Identity card
- Original and a copy Citizenship Certificate
- Original and a copy of the Marriage document
The copies of any supporting documents should be printed on A4-sized paper

Eligibility
- For Malaysian citizenship, a person who is younger than twenty-one Parents or grandparents were (or was at their death) citizens.
- The person who is registered must be under that age on the date of the application.
Fees
- Application fee RM 10.00
- Cost for issuance of Citizenship Certificate(if the application is approved) (if approved) – RM 100.00
Documents to Utilize
- Form B (which can be obtained from the Putrajaya NRD headquarters or state NRD headquarters/branches)
- Appendix A.15 (2) that is a double-purpose form for a declaration of acceptance as well as application for the right to citizenship in accordance with article 15(2) of the Federal Constitution, must be filled out and sent to a consulate overseas in one (1) year from the date of birth.
