  1. Coffee Grading Certificates is available at the Uganda Coffee Development Authority Head office.
    • It is unlawful to export coffee that is not graded and meets the specifications of export grades , as defined in the regulations prescribed by the Regulations or any other grade that are accepted by the Uganda Coffee Development Authority.
  2. A quality control officer or quality control person who grade any coffee should issue a certificate of grading in Form 5.
    • Coffee will be graded by an Quality controller from the Authority within the following categories
      • prior to the time of sale by the grower prior to the sale by the
      • After processing, or
      • Prior to the sale being made to the general public or
      • prior to export
  3. Complete your application on the form according to the procedure explained in the Uganda Coffee Development Authority.
  4. Anyone who wants to participate in the export of coffee must get a coffee Grading Certificate from the Uganda Coffee Development Authority under the following conditions:
    • Coffee must be handled, processed and stored in a suitable manner to ensure the quality of the coffee is preserved.
    • Hulling of coffee, whether dry or wet-processed can only be performed on correctly dried cherry (Kiboko 13-14 percent water content) or on parchment (13-14 percent water content).
  5. Once you have completed the form, complete the form and pay the fee.
  6. Complete the fully filled form along with the check to Coffee Quality Control officer in charge of the area where the coffee establishment is located.
  7. If Coffee Controller deem it fit then the applicant must collect a coffee grading certificates from the Uganda Coffee Development Authority where your application was received within one day from the time the application received by the Authority in the event that there is no rejection

  • A copy of the letter of Uganda Registration Services Bureau

Any person or company that is who is interested in selling coffee or processing for export may be eligible for a coffee grading Certificate.

Fees

Fees for coffee grading certificates is determined by less than one percent of the quantity exported/consignment per month.

  • Validity: As per the time that is stated by the Certification.
