Apply for Coffee Transport Licence (Permit) In Uganda By Online

  1. Coffee Transport Permit can be obtained at the Uganda Coffee Development Authority Head office.
    • The export of coffee is prohibited unless the person has made an application for pre-shipment examination and has been issued an official road or rail permit from the Authority for the coffee being exported.
  2. Complete your application in the form in the manner explained in the Uganda Coffee Development Authority.
  3. Anyone who wishes to transport coffee to be exported is required to get a permit for coffee transport from Uganda Coffee Development Authority under the following conditions:
    • Coffee needs to be processed, handled , and stored in the right conditions to ensure preservation of quality , and is ready for transportation.
    • The transporter must have an authorization certificate from the Uganda Shippers Council.
    • Transporter should be cleared by the Cargo handling section prior to getting the permit.
    • Coffee cargo must be properly packed and placed in a ventilated container.
  4. After filling out the form, complete the form and pay the fee.
  5. Complete the fully filled-in form, along with your check to coffee transportation officer who is in charge of coffee transport.
  6. When you and the Coffee transport officer has confirmed the operation and all the requirements have been satisfied, The Coffee Transport permit will be issued by the Uganda coffee Development Authority where the application was received within 7 days of the date that the application was received by the Authority in the event that there is no rejection.

  • Profile of the company containing Memorandum as well as Articles of Association,
  • Shareholders and management are set up

Eligibility

Anyone or any business who is interested in transporting coffee for export may be eligible for a coffee transport permit provided that they satisfy the conditions that are set by the Uganda Coffee development Authority.

Fees

The charges payable in respect of the permit for transporting coffee shall be set by the Uganda Shippers Council from time to time and are based on, among other factors the type of transport, dimensions of the cargo and distance.
