Documents Required Dual (Double) Citizenship

The following documents are mandatory with different criteria.

Anyone who is aged 18 or older that is not a citizen in the RA who has lived within the territory of the RA in the manner prescribed under Law for the past 3 years, is proficient in Armenian languages and acquainted to the laws of the Republic of Armenia for obtaining the citizenship of the RA. personally bring the following documents at the department of passports and visas at the RA police:

  • Autobiography
  • Passport and duplicate

  • Medical certificate
  • Permanent residence certificate in the RA for the last three years
  • Person who fills out the questionnaire in person to the person in charge of PD.

Anyone who is been married to a citizen of RA or is the parent of a child that is citizens of RA in order to gain citizenship of RA must personally submit all of the documents listed below to department of passports and visas in the RA police(in Armenia); to the Armenian Embassy or Consulate (in the foreign country):

  • Autobiography
  • Passport and duplicate

  • A marriage certificate and a copy
  • Spouse’s passport, along with his or her passport or the certificate of the spouse’s citizenship

A person who’s parents or one of them previously held citizenship or was from Armenia, or was born in the Republic of Armenia, and who, after reaching the age of 18 within the space of three years, made an application for citizenship in RA or who, on or after January 1 1995, according to the statement, was granted the RA citizenship within the Republic of Armenia must personally submit the following documents to the Passport and Visa Department of RA police (in Armenia); to the Armenian Embassy or Consulate (in the foreign country):

If you are a person without been granted citizenship, but can present the appropriate documents, in lieu of copies of their passports must be presented:

  • The temporary residence certificate of the individual who does no nationality and its duplicate of a passport or travel documents.

What Are All The Eligibility

Anyone legally capable (capable) person over 18 years old who has no nationality of the Republic of Armenia (RA) is eligible to apply for acceptance to the citizenship of the RA in the following circumstances:

  • has resided in the region of RA in the manner that is prescribed in the Law for the past 3 years.
  • Are competent in Armenian language.
  • Has a good understanding of The Constitution and the RA Constitution. RA.

A person who does not have citizenship in the RA is able to be admitted to an RA citizen RA without the requirement of the residency term, in the event that he/she:
