  • When you submit your application after receipt, the company will look over it to see whether you meet the standards required.
  • If your application is approved then the electrician will receive an approval letter , along with a list with external products you must purchase from the list of materials in the letter include cables, distribution transformers installations accessories, other materials for connecting externally.
  • Buy the necessary materials and pay the survey fee at the distribution office.
  • Then , your contractor should send a request to an on-site visit from an engineer from the company that distributes.
  • The distributor company will then visit the site to confirm that the materials bought from the outside are of good quality , and whether the materials were bought directly from distributors who are authorized.
  • Once the materials have been approvedby the engineer, an engineer issues a certificate of approval. They will then begin the installation of the materials in the manner required.
  • After installation the contractor will request an inspection of the site from the Inspecting Engineer at NEPA. Nigerian Electrical Power Authority (NEPA).
  • NEPA is sending an inspection engineer to your location and the inspector will inspect all the substances to determine whether they are of the right quality and whether the materials were properly installed. Be sure to give the inspector the confirmation document from DisCos.
  • When the inspection is complete and the inspector is satisfied that the installation was completed in accordance with the requirements The inspector will then prepare the certificate of compliance and present this to the owner.
  • After that, make the required cash payment in the Federal Ministry of Power and Steel and then get an Inspection Certificate.
  • After you have received the certificate of inspection of the Federal Ministry of Power and Steel via your electrician, send an inquiry for an estimate form to the distributor company within your region.
  • When they receive the request after receiving the request, the distribution company will write the letter and send it to you. You will then pay the amount stated in the letter. They will also send the inspection certificate issued by the Ministry to the distribution company.
