  3. Fill out the application correctly and attach all required documents listed under the “Required Documents” section further down.

  5. The official will examine the application to ensure accuracy and to determine if the location that is being sought for is covered and is not protected by an EPL
  6. Once you have verified the application, bring the completed application along with the fee specified at the accounting clerk who will issue a receipt and recommends that you file the applications with the Registrar.
  7. Send the entire request to the registry, who will register your application in the Prospecting License Register. They they will issue a number the application. Afterwards, the registrar will prepare an application file for you to submit the application.
  8. The file is then forwarded directly to the commissioner of Mines to be recommended by the Commissioner of Mines.
  9. Following the instructions of the Commissioner The Commissioner’s instructions, along with the specifics of the application have been ready to be published in the daily paper and the Gazette at your expense.
  10. Following a period of three weeks following the date of announcement of the notice in the Gazette Three copies of the licence will be given by the Commissioner the Permanent Secretary for review and submission to the Minister for his approval and after that, the license will be granted to you.
  11. Within one week from the date of granted license, you have to submit at least one week after the grant of the license a letter of Guarantee or a payment in the amount of 20 thousand dollars, using the prescribed form supplied from the GMD. The guarantee will be used to pay the costs of damages to property or removal of hazardous conditions resulting from prospecting.

Procedure

Application In Person

  1. If you want to apply for an Export Health Certificate for Dogs, Cats, and Birds, you must visit the Veterinary Service Division (VSD) within the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MOA). Check out the VSD contact information under the “Office Contacts & Locations” section further down.
  2. Be sure to notify VSD VSD of your intentions to export your horses or other animals in writing via an email at vsdpermits@gmail.com or sent by fax the information to (876) 977-0885.
  3. The VSD will provide you with the regulations for exporting an animal you want to export to the import country. They will also ask that you confine the animal to a quarantine facility.
  4. Find a quarantine site and notify that VSD that the site is in place. the VSD will then approve that area or decide on a better site to quarantine the animal that is to be exported.
  5. The VSD will observe the treatment of the animal during the quarantine time and conduct an inspection of the animal at the conclusion of the quarantine period and write an account of the inspection
  6. In the event that the animal’s condition is deemed to be healthy and the import conditions are met the quarantine is complete and the owner will then be informed by the VSD However, in the event that the animal isn’t declared to be healthy, or fails to meet the import requirements, additional quarantine is needed by the VSD
  7. After a successful quarantine and subsequent registration for the certificate of export for the horse or other food animal at the VSD

  9. The first step is to obtain all required documents and certificates of the animal you want to export, such as the import permission from the country you are importing to.
  10. Fill in your application and include the supporting documents listed within the “Required Documents” section to it.
  11. Complete the application and the completed application to The Permit Office, Veterinary Services Division (VSD) 193 Old Hope Road, in person, or scan and email to: email: vsdpermits@gmail.com or sent by fax the application to (876) 977-0885. Be aware that the information on your TRN is required.
  12. Once you have submitted your application upon receipt of your application, the VSD will review your application along with the supporting documents to determine if the application is in compliance with the standard.
  13. If the application is not valid If the document is insufficient, the VSD will notify you on what to do to meet the standard and, if the application is valid and valid, you will be issued a payment advisory note. VSD will issue an informational note regarding payment for the certificate. You must pay the cost.
  14. The application fee for the health certificate to export in the VSD cashier using cash, debit, the company’s cheque or credit card or manager’s check, and get the receipt for payment
  15. After payment, an health certificate for export will be given to you.

Instructions

  • A request for an Export Health Certificate must be filled out and sent to the VSD to set up an appointment to inspect for export. An appointment to inspect of exports with the veterinarian of the government of all living animals will be required at least 48 hours prior to departure. Animals that are being exported are required to attend the scheduled appointment, along with any supporting veterinary medical documents from a private veterinarian licensed to practice medical veterinary in Jamaica.

Application In Person

  1. In order to apply for the Export Health Certificate and export license for products from fisheries, you must visit the Veterinary Service Division (VSD) within the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries (MOA). You can find the VSD contact details under the “Office Contacts & Locations” section below.
  2. First, notify VSD VSD of your intentions to export the product by writing to the email: vsdpermits@gmail.comor faxed to (876) 977-0885.
  3. After receiving your intent letter after receipt, the VSD will check if your facility is registered. If it is not then you will have to sign up your facility
  4. The VSD will notify you of the requirements for export for the goods you would like to export to the import country. They will also ask that you submit the batches of the product to the VSD lab for testing.
  5. Each batch will undergo testing. should they fail, you’ll receive the test results via a letter by the VSD and, if the items meet the requirements the VSD will inform you via the VSD and asked to complete the application of the health certificate.
