  1. Visitors looking for an extension of their time within the country should make an application in the Immigration Department on the prescribed form that is available from the department or on their website. A form for application must be filled out by each applicant who want to extend their stay in the country for tourism purposes.

What Are All The Eligibility

Holders of any permit issued pursuant to the Immigration and Passport Act 2014 who want to stay on Antigua or Barbuda for longer than the duration stated on their permit are able to apply for an extension of their stay.

A stay extension may be granted to:

  1. A period of not more than 90 days.
  2. For the duration as specified in a permit for work or
  3. To reside within Antigua and Barbuda during the time of an education institution.

Fees

Application cost: $300.00 for the Non-CARICOM Nationals, and $150.00 in the case of CARICOM Nationals.

Validity

A STAY EXTENSION must be requested prior to the expiration date of entry endorsement. The extension of stay can be granted for at least 3 (3) months. An authentic government certificate will be given after approval by the government of this extension.
