Required Documents For Identity Card

To verify the eligibility

  • Hong Kong identity card (if you have one) and travel document indicating your current status of staying in Hong Kong
  • Evidence of permanent residency status.
    • Chinese citizen born in Hong Kong

    • Chinese citizens who reside within Hong Kong for not less than 7 years

    • Non-Chinese citizens living within Hong Kong for not less than 7 years

      • Document of travel confirming entry into Hong Kong and your current conditions of staying in the HKSAR
