  1. An applicant that is eligible should complete all required information and visit at the Ministry of Immigration or Regional Immigration Office, approach the services desk and ask for the application form.

Process online

  1. The applicant should follow the following steps to conduct the assessment of your choice (register the amount you wish to pay) on the URA website portal . Log into (URA site), On the URA homepage, click the link for e-Services.
  2. You will be taken to the next page. select payment registration under the payment section.
  3. Select another NTR. Then you will see a form asking you to complete the following fields:
    1. MDA: Select Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration.
    2. Another NTR Head: Choose the NTR Head you applied for. Be aware that the amount will be filled itself by default.
    3. BPAF Number File numbers begin with the letters IM/Number/Year (Do make sure to leave no spaces or gap in entering the number of the file).
    4. Payment Method: Under Bank Details Choose the most preferred payment method, e.g. cash, cheque, etc.
    5. Manual Bank Payment Mode
    6. The name of URA’s Bank: Choose URA’s preferred Bank of Your Choice. (E.G UBA, DTB, Orient, Etc.)
    7. Input The Text Image as You Imagine It.
    8. Select Accept, then then sign up.

Instructions

  • How do I fill in the form?
  1. All applicants must have an identification card from the country at the time of interview.
  2. Parents are required to sign the consent form when applying for passports for their children.
  3. First time applicants need to fill out all sections, excluding section 7 on this form.
  4. The person who is recommended in section 8 must be a citizen of Uganda with some sort of standing.
  5. Photograph
    1. (2) duplicates (3) of passport-sized photographs of the applicant are required to be submitted with the application.
    2. Photographs should be taken face-to-face without a veil, hat or hat and should not be hung with eyes and ears clearly visible.
