Documents that are required Temporary Residence Permit (EU Citizen)

Processing Time

The processing time is approximately 30 days from the date of the initial request.

Instructions

A certificate of temporary residency is issued upon the demand from the EU citizen who plans to remain for more than 3 months in the Czech Republic for more than three months, and has not posed a threat to security for the state or significantly disrupted the public order.

The application to issue a temporary residence certificate is submitted on the correct form.

  • The criteria for the application should not exceed 180 days, except for travel document or wedding certificate, birth certificate, and the photo of the national of another country when it matches his or her real appearance.
  • The documents must never be duplicated or signed by a notary copies.
  • The documents submitted must be written out in Czech language or official translation into Czech.
  • The Prague MOI office, applications for a temporary residence to an EU citizen is possible via post.
