Obtain a Trading License Pharmacy-Grade II In Uganda By Online

  1. Permits or licences for pharmacy grade II is available through the Municipal Council Authority near your area of residence.
  2. Complete the application form according to the instructions of the Municipal council.
  3. The applicant must ensure that he/she is armed with all the documents required in order for the process to succeed. These documents are listed under”Required Documents” under the “Required Documents” section on this page.
  4. The payment of fees that are appropriate should be made, and the details is listed on this page’s “Fees” section on this page.
  5. Fill out the completed form, along with the payment slips to the officer who is Licensing responsible of the region.
  6. After the process is completed After this process is completed, the Council will within 60 days of receiving the request, award the applicant a practice license in the form prescribed, after having been satisfied
    • is recognized or enrolled as a pharmacist.
    • It is not currently being removed from the practice of a pharmacist.
    • Has met such other conditions that the council may require, including compliance with the conditions for continuing professional.
  7. Take possession of your pharmacy licence certificate from the location where you submitted your application within two days of the date your application was received by the local authorities in the event that there is no rejection.

  • The original Certificate of Incorporation for the company to start a new business.
  • Original KCCA receipt from the year prior, indicating that there was business.

Eligibility

  • Any person of 18 years carrying out business in Municipality/Division/Town/City/Kampala City Council Authority’s jurisdiction.
  • Other than those exempted by Section 8(2) in the Trade Licensing Act are eligible to apply for a Trading license in order to run an Pharmacy Grade II.

Instructions

  • A request for a practice license must be submitted by the National Drug Authority in such way and in the manner that can be required.
  • Every application must be supported by the fee that is required.
  • A pharmacist who isn’t a citizen but wants to get a license as a practitioner in Uganda should
  1. Make a written request using the form provided in the form prescribed by the Authority;
  2. have at the time of their initial license as pharmacists from an overseas country, all the qualifications required to be qualified for licensure at the moment in Uganda;
  3. Present the Board evidence of first licensing in a different country, and proof that the practicing license is in good standing in the country where it hasn’t been suspended or restrained for any reason other than the non-renewal of the licence or failure to complete the required continuing education credits in the country;
  4. provide proof of membership to the country’s professional organization;
  5. Pay the charges imposed by the Authority pay the fees prescribed by the Authority; and
  6. comply with any other conditions that are prescribed to meet the other conditions as may be prescribed by the Authority.

Information that can be useful

A person is considered to be engaged in practice when he or she takes part in, conducts, or conducts prescribing and compounding or community pharmacing prescription drugs within Uganda in any way

  • on the account of the individual and is entitled to the total amount of charges and fees earned on behalf of the individual’s financial gain; or
  • as a partner in a partnership when the other party has the right to be a part of the earnings.
