Obtain Cattle Export Licence (permit) In Uganda By Online
- Contact your veterinary professional at the Department Animal resource at the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries to get a health certification and veterinary reports within 10 days after the animal’s transfer.
- Get Form V to apply for animals you want to sell from the Ministry of Agriculture.
- Follow the guidelines on applications to make sure the animal is suitable for the purpose of exportation . Also, obtain all supporting documents required for the application.
- Complete the application properly and attach all necessary documents
- Complete your Application to Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries
- The Department of Livestock and Entomology will examine your application and contact you within the next day they receive your application at the address that you specified when you submitted your request. The department might require additional details about your application prior to giving the license.
NOTE:
- Check that your email address or contact number is displayed on the application form.
- Export permits are valid for 14 days as of the date of the vet certificate.
- Animals shipped without the correct documents will be returned to the place of the animal’s.
- The original documents should be handed over at departure.
Required Documents For Obtain Cattle Export Licence (permit)
- The applicant must prove that they have the skills and resources to participate successfully in the industry of cattle trade.
- Completed application form, approved by the region of operation District Veterinarian.
- Evidence that the applicant has never been found guilty of a crime pursuant to the Cattle Traders Act and the Animal Diseases Act.

Instructions
Animals that are to be export must have these:
- Copies of their export Permit;
- The original health certification (issued within 10 days prior to the animal’s departure) that includes the owner’s name the animal, contact information, as well as the signature of the veterinarian who issued the certificate;
- A validly approved CITES document that is properly endorsed by CITES (only necessary for animals of an threatened species).
- Animals who leave without appropriate documentation will be returned to their point of their origin.
