To get an official death certificate, obtain the death announcement at the hospital.
Bring the body back in The Preventive Medicine (morgue).
Complete all required documentation.
Make sure you pay all fees required.

If you’re outside of the United Arab Emirates

You can use the contact information provided under “Office Locations and Contacts” to connect with the closest UAE Mission in the country in which you currently reside. It is the Consular Services Section will be the person who handles your request to get the Death Certificate.

Required Documents For Obtain Death Certificate

The requirements for Nationals:

Death announcement
Original and copy of deceased’s family book
Original and copy of passport of the deceased
The death certificate is required if the death took place outside UAE

The requirements for expatriates

Death announcement
Original and duplicate of passport of the deceased
Approval letter from the Embassy to either bury the body within the country or to send it out of the country
Insurance card for health (If your health insurance card, or health insurance card is in a state of expiry or are not in circulation AED 1000 fees have payable for the embalming process and burial.)
