How to Online Change or Update Information in OCI Card (Address, Name, Appearance, Nationality) In India

Step 1:

Step 2:

Use the link below to fill out an online application : Apply Online.

Step 3:

There is an announcement coming from the government. Check out the information and then click the “Close” button, which appears highlighted in RED in the image below.

Step 4:

On the next page you will see the “OCI Miscellaneous Services” option, which is highlighted in Yellow. Read the instructions and then click the “Proceed” button that appears in RED in the image below.

The screen will be updated with directions will be shown. Read the information and then select the checkbox next to “I am aware of the directions” option that is highlighted in Yellow. After that, click the “Accept” option at bottom to go to the the next page that is highlighted in red in the below picture.

Please complete the captcha in the appropriate manner in the textbox provided and then click the “Enter” button that is highlighted in red.

On the next page on the page, you can select “Fresh Application” option highlighted in red in the following image to access an application page.

On this page, please fill in the form in full with all relevant information and then click the “Proceed” button that is highlighted in red in the image below.

The applicant should follow the remainder of the instructions as needed in accordance with the requirements outlined including uploading of documents and images according to the requirements.

Step 11:

When the online application is successful, the applicant will receive an acknowledgement. Save it for later references.

Step 12:

Follow the directions to meet the official designated at the Indian Post/Mission/FRROs concerned. Send the originals of the documents online to cross verify.

Step 13:

Once the documents have been checked, the appropriate action by the official is taken to proceed further.

Step 14:

The applicant receives a proper acknowledgment and notification via email address.

Step 15:

The remaining internal process allows changes to the OCI card based on the notice.
