Pay Water Bills In Uganda By Yourself
in PERSON Through (National Water and Sewerage Corporation Office)
- Visit any local National Water & Sewerage Corporation office, bringing the water bill invoice as well as the amount that must be paid shown on the invoice
- Go to the counter for services and present the invoice as well as the amount recommended in cash or cheque draft to the official in charge.
- The person who will check the amount that needs to be paid by using their computer system and if the payment is correct, they will be able to pay the invoice and give you an acknowledgement of payment
via the bank
- Find a nearby bank and request the account number of you. The National Water&Sewerage Corporation office deposit the amount that you subscribed to on the invoice and make sure you provide your national water and sewerage account number and your full name.
Via Postal Corporation of Uganda
- You can also send the payment to any postal center close to you.

- There are a variety of methods for making payments online i.e. via the mobile device, bank automated machine, or teller machine.
via National water company for sewage (NWSC) mobile application

- Go to the (NWSC) site page NWSC then click Pay Now.
- You will be taken to the next screen, fill in all the details correctly and complete the payment
- Send the message and wait for confirmation
Through MTN Uganda
- Dial *165#, and then select Pay Bill in The MTN menu.
- Enter the business number for water.
- Input your complete water Account number e.g. 123456-01.
- Enter the amount you want to pay.
- Make sure you enter your MTN PIN.
- Verify that all information is accurate.
- You will receive confirmation of the transaction by SMS.
Via Airtel Money (Airtel)
- Dial *185#. Select Airtel Money from the menu.
- Select “Make payments”.
- Choose “Pay bill”
- Choose the water bill to pay for a postpaid bill
- Enter your Airtel Money PIN.
- In the reference section select your complete water account number, e.g. 123456-01.6Confirm that all information is exact.
- You will receive confirmation of the transaction by SMS.
via ATM Payments
- If you have an account at Stanbic Bank, Postbank or Standard Chartered Bank, you could also pay your bill by using any of these banks ‘ Automated Teller Machines (ATMs).

The Information You Need
- You’ll require the water bill’s details e.g. the amount
- Consumer’s name is the first
- The account number of the consumer
- The contact’s address and physical address
- Working telephone line or mobile number
- The invoice that is used to pay the charge.
Documentation is needed
- The payment of your water bill in time allows you to avail water services. Failure to pay the water bill on time can result in the disconnection of water service at your home
Other uses for the Document/Certificate
- Water Receipts for payments are a proof of residency.
