Register a Birth In Bhutan By Online

  1. Births must be registered by DCRC at least 30 days of the day the baby was born. In the event of failure to comply with the above timeline, parent(s)/guardian(s) will have to report in person to the DCRC HQ for registration.
  2. Complete and submit the application form number. BCRS-BR-01.
  3. A consent form by the head of household needs to be sought out by the applicant, in the event that they are not the child’s primary caregiver.
  4. Attach the relevant documents, as stated in the documents needed to complete fill out the form.
  5. The applicant has to present their CIDor SRP card in its original form at the time of registration.
  6. The birth registration certificate may be obtained at CCor DCRCOor Thromdeand DCRC Headquarters.

Documents needed to be submitted Bhutanese SRP holders or citizens:

  • The completed application form is no. BCRS-BR-01
  • Documents proving the identity of parents
  • Notice of the birth (if born in a hospital or BHU).
  • Marriage certificate copy, or endorsement by the Guarantor.
  • The consent form from Head of the Household in the event that the applicant isn’t the parent of the child.

  • Documents proving the identity of parents
  • Notice of the birth (if birth was in hospital/BHU).
  • Marriage certificate copy, or endorsement by the garant.

Documents needed to Bhutanese citizens working abroad in Bhutanese Missions and Embassies:

  • The completed application form is no. BCRS-BR-01
  • Identity documents for parents
  • Certificate of birth issued by a competent authority.
  • Copy of marriage certificate, or any other statement that confirms the parental status of the child must be sought from the Chancery Head. Chancery.
  • The consent form from Head of the Household, if the applicant isn’t an adult child’s father or mother.

Documents required for Bhutanese citizens/SRP holders studying/working/residing overseas:

  • Application form completed No. BCRS-BR-01
  • Identity documents for parents
  • Birth certificates issued by a competent authority.
  • Copy of marriage certificate, or other document confirming parental status of the child must be sought from the head of Chancery.
  • The consent form from Head of the Household in the event that the applicant isn’t parents of the child.

Note: When who apply through the Community Center (CC) operator You must show the original CID/SRP card to be used for verification for verification purposes.

Every kid born in Bhutan or those born to Bhutanese parents from abroad could be registered on the official civil register.

Fees

  • Registration is Free
  • Except for the charge for service to be paid at the community center in the event that the application needs to be made in the Community Center (CC).
